Worthing Churches Homeless Project - Reverse Advent Calendar

Christmas is a time where our thoughts are to our family and friends, giving and receiving. It's such a special time of year where the excitement levels are high!  As a school we thought it would be a really lovely idea to look beyond our circumstances and look to help those further a field.  We've been in contact with Worthing Churches Homeless Project and they loved the idea of a reverse advent calender.

It would work by having a box in each classroom where the children would put their donated gift, as there are many children in each class there is no need to bring something in each day, just a token when and how possible.

There is also the possibility to organize your own from home. If you would like do this, then please let Emma Beard know and she'll organise a collection from you nearer Christmas eve.

All the finished boxes will be taken to Worthing Churches Homeless Project on Christmas eve.

Its such a lovely idea that can help bring awareness to those in need around us.

Please see the Reverse Advent Calendar Letter on the PTA page within 'Community' for information about suggested items for donation.

End of Term Message

We hope you enjoyed your child's Christmas performance - the children certainly seemed to have fun.  Your donations for the Worthing Churches Homeless Projet totalled a staggering £283.84 - thank you for your generosity.

DVD's of the Christmas performances (containing both shows) are available to purchase, priced at £12.00.

Thank you to everybody who came along to our end of term Christmas carol service on Thursday 15th December at St Mary's church.  The event was well attended and was a very pleasant way to end the term. Thank you for your donations towards the Reverse Advent Calendars - these looked fantastic and the Worthing Churches Homeless Project were delighted with them.

We would like to wish you and your families a very merry Christmas.  We hope you manage some fun and some well earned rest and look forward to welcoming you back to school on Wednesday 4th January 2017 (Tuesday 3rd is an INSET day).
