St Mary’s is a happy and friendly, Church of England school for children aged 4-11years.  We are set in a beautiful location within the South Downs National Park and our grounds include a playground, playing field, adventure playground, heated swimming pool, Forest School, quiet zones, outdoor learning huts, a practical room for cooking and a school library.  

We aim to provide a creative and exciting curriculum, which is broad and balanced and that allows all learners to reach their full potential. We strive to fulfil our school values and endeavour to promote a culture of positive mental health and wellbeing through teaching key learning skills based upon ambition and resilience. In the development of team work we cultivate an ethos of valuing and respecting oneself and of each other and through providing leadership opportunities for all.  Creating an understanding of service and self control is deeply rooted in our teaching of RE and our daily acts of collective worship, where every individual will experience opportunities to develop their spirituality through time for prayer and reflection.  In the creation of effective partnerships with families, the church,  our local community and beyond we strive to create a school where social action means we will make a difference.
